VIP Medical Group ("we", "our", or "us") operates the CareCast application for Fire TV devices. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our application.

Information We Collect

Device Information

We collect a unique device identifier to pair your Fire TV device with your clinic's CareCast account. This identifier is generated locally on your device and is used solely for device management purposes.

Usage Data

We collect basic usage information including:

  • App version and connection status
  • Content playback events (what content is displayed)
  • Error logs for troubleshooting purposes

What We Do NOT Collect

  • Personal information of clinic patients or visitors
  • Audio or video recordings from the device
  • Location data
  • Contact information or browsing history

How We Use Information

The information we collect is used to:

  • Pair and manage your device with your clinic account
  • Deliver content to your waiting room displays
  • Monitor device connectivity and health
  • Improve app performance and fix issues

Data Storage and Security

All data is transmitted securely using HTTPS encryption. Device and usage data is stored on secure cloud servers with access limited to authorized clinic administrators and our technical support team.

Data Retention

Device pairing information is retained as long as the device is registered with a clinic account. Usage logs are retained for up to 90 days for troubleshooting purposes. When a device is unpaired, associated data is deleted within 30 days.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Supabase - Database and authentication services
  • Amazon Web Services - Content delivery

These services have their own privacy policies governing their use of data.

Children's Privacy

CareCast is designed for use by healthcare facilities and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The application displays content in waiting rooms but does not interact with or collect data from viewers.

Data Deletion Requests

You have the right to request deletion of your data at any time. To request data deletion:

  • Email us: Send a request to marketing@vipmedicalgroup.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request"
  • Include: Your clinic name and the device identifier (if known)
  • Response time: We will process your request within 30 days

Upon receiving your request, we will delete all data associated with your device(s), including device identifiers, usage logs, and any error reports. This action is irreversible and will require re-pairing if you wish to use CareCast again.

Clinic administrators can also unpair devices directly from the CareCast admin dashboard, which will remove the device and its associated data from our systems.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify clinic administrators of any material changes via email or through the CareCast admin dashboard.
